Ravages and Savages on the Kitsap Peninsula

The Wild Animal Kingdom is very prevalent on the Kitsap Peninsula. Wild animals roam fearless and free, the carnivores ravage their prey, the herbivores wreak havoc on my garden, there's bloodshed and carrots abound. I've been practicing my karate so that I may protect my family (yes, puppies included) from all these savages. May the force be with me.

The Great Resurrection of 2011

First things first; I am ressurecting this site. I have things (some sensible, some otherwise) to say and creative juices that long to flow. So let them flow, dammit! FLOW JUICES FLOW!

Secondly, I haven't quite settled on a theme yet. I could continue with the "Travel Blog" deal but that would seriously restrict my material. At least all of the material that would be genuine and truthful versus just random made up vacations about two chicks circumnavigating the earth and our wild and wacky adventures along the way in which we encounter and have bar brawls with Aliens and RedNecks (both of which involved Nunchucks) which I honestly might be inclined to do, ya know... because that could be rather fun. Fancy-Pants Drakey did just get a new fancy-ass camera for Xmas so we've considered the idea of a joint-venture Photo-Journal-esque blog kinda like Annie Lebowicz and Susan Sontag but well, that relationship ended rather tragically and besides, THAT would be a pretty tall order to live up to. So the theme remains a mystery to unfold; slowly and purposefully I'm sure.

Thirdly, I feel that I owe people an update of every single thing that has happened
in my life since I abandoned this blog but I reckon that would take an awful lot of time and patience and given that Dec. 2012 is TECHNICALLY the end of the world, I'm really just going to stay focused on time management here people. With that said, you will get some highlights. Cliff notes, if you will. And here they go:
1) sometime ago in a distant past in a land far far away, I abandoned this blog to move over to dearreilly (other blog) to document a baby making endeavor which didn't end all that well and thus was also ultimately abandoned. 2) Since we had saved all that money from no longer making babies, we decided to buy a vacation/weekend/holiday home instead. Seemed like a practical consolation prize at the time, and it still does, in fact. It's a cute little beach house that is a thousand shades of perfect in a billion kajillion perfectly perfect ways and brings us great pleasure and joy. 3) Chinese New Year just came and went yesterday which marked the end of the “year of the tiger” which was an especially magnificent year for me because I am a “tiger” according the Chinese Zodiac and no I don’t feel that you have to be TECHNICALLY Chinese in order to reap the benefits of the Chinese Zodiac and plus, I think that I’m Chinese in my head and occasionally sometimes outside of my head as well although I’m glad that I didn’t turn Chinese until I was an adult cuz I’m pretty sure that my highschool grades wouldn’t have cut the mustard in a Chinese family so the timing worked out well if you think about it. All that is to say that I’ve had a pretty damn good year. 4) I slept a bunch, worked a bunchy buncher more, ate some, drank some (maybe a lot), laughed some and cried some. And that about wraps it up, I'd say.

As a disclaimer; once again, I cannot guarantee that everything cited here will be the truth. Or even close to it. What I can promise is that it will likely be based off of some truth. Or someone’s truth, at least. I mean, I’m a pretty truthful person in general but the truth doesn’t always make for the most interesting lore or story and I’ve also been accused of exaggerating things some and so, well, there's that. I’ve been accused of this often enough, I guess, that Scientist from around the world have come up with a very precise and occasionally accurate formula for calculating the true quantity of things that I’ve exaggerated. I believe that it goes something like this: Take the # that I said and divide by 4, then multiply by 1, tap your head three times, wrinkle your nose, find the square root of the nearest denominator that is divisible by 5 and then subtract that number by Pi (the number, not the Marie Calendars kind), hum the tune to Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds and THAT should give you roughly the correct amount. But please don’t go quoting me on this because I’m really not a math person. To say the least.

If you followed me on grapes-n-grain or dearreilly previously, I appreciate your patronage. Patronage? Can you do that? Like cyber-patronage? Or is it just like viewership or something. Anyway… I appreciate it and I hope that you continue to come back for visits and check-ins and leave your comments so that I can obsess over them and check back on my blog 5,013 times a day like I do on Facebook because who needs a real job anyway?
