Road Trippin'

Given that I've started a new job early this year, and then immediatley took off for Toronto and Montreal for a week, I've got limited (as in zero) PTO built up and therefor no major travel plans in our future. So... we've resorted to little weekend getaways this summer. A few camping trips, and a quickie 2 days in Portland that begins this afternoon. and hot damn, am I excited about it! Which is weird, cuz frankly, I'm not paticularly partial to Oregon. But anyway... we've turned this Portland trip into a geocaching adventure of sort. We've mapped out a Sea to Port route and plan on hitting the road and making NUMEROUS stops along the way in Olympia, Lacey and Vancouver where there appears to be some decent concentration of caches. We're bringing the geohounds and staying in this fancy pet friendly hotel in downtown with a wine bar and pet sitting services and adjoining restr. ale house and... and... what more can a girl ask for??? We've been so insanely busy this summer (as happens every summer), I'm mostly just looking forward to getting a 48 hour stretch with just me and my girl alone; with nobody to entertain, be charming for, make me late, etc. :) and who knows... if everything goes right in other areas, this could be the last little getaway we'll be having for a LONG LONG time, so I plan to make the most of it.
